AI agents are becoming increasingly capable of working independently: writing code, researching topics, operating tools, analyzing data, and coordinating multi-step tasks.
But they still have a surprisingly primitive problem.
They forget.
A typical agent exists inside a temporary session. It may spend an hour understanding a project, discovering constraints, making architectural decisions, and solving difficult problems. Then the session ends.
A new session may have access to the same files, the same repository, and the same tools, but not necessarily to the reasoning, decisions, discoveries, and context accumulated before.
Humans solved this problem a very long time ago.
We invented writing.
Agora is an experiment in giving AI agents something similar.
